Harris, our Founder, Chief Executive Officer and acting Chief Technology Officer, leads Ombligo's vision and business strategy. He began his career with the Cisneros Group in 1996 where he was the Director of Corporate Strategy, and helped advise and lead a variety of strategic transactions in the US and Latin America. Harris left in 2000 at the midst of the dot.com boom to join the Urban Box Office – an online media startup – as Vice President of Business Development where he focused on forging new partnerships and improving the Company’s overall growth prospects. In 2002, Harris joined TechSmart – an Information Technology (IT) refurbishing and remarketing Company – as Vice President of Business Development. While at TechSmart, Harris developed a passion for the IT services industry, and realized how much more could be done in the industry with a management team who cared about more than just top-line growth. In late 2003/early 2004, Harris decided to start Ombligo, based on the premise that what is good for the community is also good for business. Ombligo was founded to save the world, one used computer at a time. Harris strongly believes that creating policies and practices that incorporate societal aspects creates economic value, which, in turn, allows companies to succeed.

Hani Keirouz

Chief Operating Officer

Hani, our Chief Operating Officer and acting Chief Financial Officer, works closely with Harris on strategic growth initiatives, and helps run the day-to-day business. He began his career in 2001 as a Financial Analyst at TechSmart, where he and Harris originally met. Hani left TechSmart in 2003 to join Rho Capital Partners – a leading global Venture Capital fund – as a Senior Analyst where he helped recommend investments in software, biotechnology and energy startups in the US. Hani left Rho Capital Partners in 2005 to earn his M.B.A. at the Columbia Business School where he combined his studies with a consulting role for Bitshelter, a New York technology startup. After completing his postgraduate studies, Hani joined Merrill Lynch (later Bank of America Merrill Lynch) as an Investment Banking Associate, later promoted to Vice President. In that capacity, he advised companies in the Consumer Products and Retail Sectors on a host of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, new debt issuances, equity offerings and divestitures. Hani left Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 2012 to return to his startups and operations roots, and consulted for a wide range of technology startups in the US primarily on management and strategy. He reconnected with Harris in 2013, and joined Ombligo on a full-time basis later that year.

Sukhdeep Singh

IT & Operations Director

Sukhdeep Singh, our IT & Operation Director works closely with Harris and Hani, and actively manages Ombligo’s day-to-day operations. Singh oversees and manages receiving, testing, building, data security and Ombligo’s ERP. Singh has been instrumental in helping Ombligo introduce new initiatives and helping promote best practices aimed at minimizing the environmental impact of Ombligo’s operations. Singh is our go-to guru for any tech-related or process-related questions. He started his career as a Technology teacher in 2006 in India. He later moved to New York and joined Ombligo in 2011 as the Company’s third fulltime employee. He earned M.B.A. and M.C.A. from Punjab Technical University and holds CCNA and MCITP certifications.
